Tools:
  • x-acto knife
  • scissors
  • tape
  • felt tip pen
  • spoon
  • drywall saw
  • toothpick
  • cutting board or mat

Step 1:
Examine pumpkin, choose stencil size, and print.

Stencils:

Step 2:
Cut out the black areas of stencil using an x-acto knife.

Step 3:
Trim the edges of the stencil, making it easier to attach stencil to pumpkin.

Step 4:
Tape the stencil to the pumpkin.

Step 5:
Trace through the openings in the stencil using the felt tip pen.

Step 6:
After hollowing pumpkin, carve out pattern.

Step 7:
Place toothpick through top arc to give shape extra support.
